hey all i have not blogged for quite some time. i started school 2 weeks ago and i have only had time to study for the most part. i have no internet connection at home right now, so i have very limited opportunites to use a computer, but i do not miss it much. i do miss my beautiful fantasy baseball team though, but i get to check up on it every once in a while. i do not watch the tube at all anymore, and i can gladly say that i do not miss any of the craptacular shows. tv is evil and horrible. i am keeping up with some current events though. for instance the last beheading. i feel terrible for what happened to him, he was not even a military man, he was just there to help out, but he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

diclaimer: i do not point this fact out because i am korean, but i do so because i believe it is morally/ethically wrong to force someone/thing/country, to do something they do not want to do, but are forced to do so out of a necessity for their own safety.

okay so here is what pisses me off, the president of the U.S. stated, to quote loosely, that he is sad that this happened, but will not be deterred by these acts of violence and will continue on his mission, and that these threats do not scare him. i know that the previous 2 beheadings were of american citizens, but this last guy was a korean citizen. so why was this korean guy beheaded in the first place? oh i know why, because the president decided to tell (threaten) the south koreans that he would start pulling troops out of S. Korea, (12,000 out of 36,000 and then subsequently more) if they did not help by sending in korean troops to a war that they should not even be involved with. this is a bunch of b.s. obviously the south koreans need the "protection" from the u.s. military, because of the threat of north korea, but the president is using it as a "strategory" piece to have another country supposedly be on their side. this is some major B.S., if south korea would have helped with free will, then so be it, but it should not be because they were pretty much imposed on (forced) to do so.

those of you who will say, that S. Korea owes the U.S. their gratitude for helping them in the Korean war, are right. but remember the U.S. was not forced to bring their troops over to Korea, they were asked for help, and they
offered their help for more than one reason. one being to actually help out, but the other to gain a foothold in Asia. this is totally different from that, and i cannot cover all the bases by blogging, but please feel free to post or leave a message on anything that i may have left out, and i will try to answer to the best of my capabilities.

I agree w/ Sluts like You. I don't want the page to be shut down. Where else are we going to rant and rave about falling down stairs and having your friends laugh at you? Or complain about how much work it takes to rave across America? My arms hurt from all that glowstick twirling. Anyway, jokes aside, it doesn't take that much time to moderate this site does it?

Is threatening to shut down the blog page a game? Is that a game?

ok, so i know i havent posted in a long time, but i just feel the need to express something right now. WTF is up with these teen girls covering 80s songs??? ok, so it wouldnt be so bad if they didnt butcher the songs and would actually do them justice. britney's "i love rock & roll", jessica's "take my breath away" and i just saw the (horrible) video for hillary duff (& i think her sister) "our lips are sealed" AWFUL!! :-X
ok thats all i have to say right now.
cheers
oh yeah, and is recording terrible covers of 80s songs a game? is that a game? is that a game?
one more thing: new wave, i dont think u should shut us down, where else will i be able to vent about stupid things in the world and know that i can get at least some support??? FOR THE CHEESE!

to start off .... happy birthday darth. you are old like the rest of us .... blah blah.

okay i didn't really want to say anything because well .... i didn't but has anyone noticed this house ... the blogpage ... is basically dying. i'm tempted to put it out of its misery soon. no one blogs anymore ... at all. what gives. okay granted i don't even blog. what is going on ??? give me some feedback people. should i just shut the house down????? let me know.

nothing much to report on my end. i'm going through a bored out of my mind crisis where i'm attempting to find something that will peak my interest but if any of you know me i get bored with things quickly so eh. i mean i ran my head around certain hobbies to pick up - guitar (from my friend pete), cooking, computer programing, drawing, real estate, trying to get my series 7 (though very unlikely ... ha ha) and so on. yea i've been coming up with blanks. i don't need some huge life changing thing ... just something to kill time till i die. ha ha i mean till i have work on monday again. okay enough i'm done.

listening: to nothing but my crazed thoughts .......

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Friday, June 18

Weird and sad. They found a dead body in the field across from my workplace today. So the rest of the afternoon was spent staring out the window in binoculars trying to figure out what's going on. Bunch of cop cars and CSI trucks. Turns out an airplane model flyer found it. The cops even came to our building to ask if we had surveillance tapes for the surrounding area.

Wow, could this week be going any slower? seriously, i thought yesterday was a friday, but alas, friday is still a day away...yikes. Lets update us all on whats been going on. saw harry potter last friday, it was alright, not as good as the previous one in my opinion. Watched all the reagan funeral ceremonies. I guess it was like what a royal funeral would be like, very dignified with many dignitaries, and very emotional. when nancy held the casket one last time and whispered "i love you" it was heartbreaking, to know that she spent the past 10 years in full care of him..all you can say is wow...and if you haven't read part of the letter he wrote to her, read them, that is what love is. on a lighter note i passed by the santa ana school of arts today, wow dorkus, if you ever wanted to find your emo man/boy go drive by..plenty of skinny kids with lots of hair sitting on the grass, doing whatever it is that kids do....i just found it funny how they all had the same look. i really want to go home right now, have i mentioned that? well i do...haha....softball team starts this coming tuesday, i really don't have any high expectations being that we haven't practiced as a team, and just kinda came together to say yeah i guess we'll play. summer tv schedule is back, which means not a whole heck of a lot...except more time playing playstation 2....i'm not saving the world like mac did, but i am helping the dodgers to win their first world series game in more than 15 years!!! Lakers lost...will they be dismantled now and look more like the clippers? probably not, but it would be interesting to see what would happen if the starting players were slava, rush, george, fisher, and shaq....somehow that doesn't equal championship to me..call me crazy. good gosh 20 more minutes, i can't do this....haha...oh well. i'm entering a dead pool draft tomorrow, in case you don't know what that is, its when you all draft 3 people that you think are going to die soon. everyone gets different people, so whoever dies first the person with that person gets the pot...any random suggestions? i know johnny ramone, i hope to have the first pick, cause then thats basically money, but anyone know of anyone else?

Greetings Everyone! Wow, it's been a very long time since I last blogged...so long that I forgot my username and password! :) I think the last time I blogged was BEFORE my trip to Asia. I'll spare you the details but I will say that everyone should try to go to Beijing if they ever have an opportunity. The Great Wall and Forbidden City were awesome! I'll try to post some pictures up as soon as I have a chance. Even though there were 7 of us traveling, for the most part there was no drama. Everybody got along which since 6 out of 7 of us were girls is pretty amazing. One girl though was interesting and made one of my friends cry while we were at the Great Wall. Pretty funny huh...but my favorite quote from her was while we were at this makeup store in Korea, and almost all of us were in line to buy makeup. It's a store that's known to sell inexpensive makeup that's pretty decent quality. So while we were in line we asked her if she was going to get anything and she said "No, that's like putting Loreal on my face." Thanks for saying that while I'm buying something!
Anyways, I'm a bit nervous about the game tonight (Lakers vs. Pistons). L.A. has the worst fans ever! I listen to Laker talk in the morning and all these "Laker fans" were calling in talking about how we're going to get swept in this series. It was one game! Don't even get me started with ghetto Dodger fans.

Hey you guys, just wanted to let you know that I got served last night. I'm okay, even though I got served here and here and here. Seriously though, this movie is so horribly bad it's great. I mean, come on, one of the characters (played by Steve Harvey) is named Mr. Rad... Mr. Rad!!! And his best worst line goes something like this: "Okay, you guys, after the dance off, we're all going to shake hands and be friends because friendship is the most important thing." Oh, excuse me while I vomit. Thanks. I'm back now. Steve Harvey is NOT funny - he is like the black Rick Dees.

Also, another character is named Beautifull. "with two L's." Please. You ugly.

Bad script (laughable though), nothing makes sense, random things happen, the OC kids are annoying - too bad they didn't have a big white raised truck, really good dance moves (you have to give them credit for that - those dancers have some crazy moves), best worst lines ever.

Best scene: After the OC kids get served, everyone joins in with a "Served! Served! Served! Served!" chant. Really.

As far as dance movies go, I have seen way worse (Honey, Bring It On Again). At least this one was entertaining in a good bad way...Really though, wouldn't I just be in heaven if they came out with Not Another Dance Movie??? I'm in!

Thursday, June 3

woohoo! harry potter! can't wait.

and for the harry potter fans ..... :) this friday.
i need to put up directions on how to set up the picture thing. here is the link to the page if you want to start and just mess around with it until you get it. if you don't feel comfortable ... i'll have step by step directions up in a few days.

in response to dorkus and the money/401k thing ... okay seriously who needs that much money when you are old though. after all the investments in mutal funds and the diverse portfolio of stocks and options and you figure you would owe your house and crap by then ... oh wait ha ha that's only me and the cheap world i live in. hmmm okay i guess dorkus you do have a point then.

mac i hate your lazy life.

watched some films but i'll give my movie reviews another time.

hey rancid don't worry about getting married ... marriage is for suckers and people from the OC.

the diana arbus exhib. was rad at lacma. good stuff.

much like darth's top 10 random thoughts i will do 5:
1. why are the cure driving me up the wall with the choices they are making for their new album and tour (sigh)?
2. why do strange co workers tell you about their life story?
3. why do selfish people tell you about their lives when you clearly don't care but they think you do and then you have to treat them nice when they treat you like crap?
4. can someone explain why the simpsons ROCK?
5. why is it already june ... wtf?

Wednesday, June 2

one of my favorite diane arbus photos. it has a definite sense of humor. her exhibit at lacma was impressive. it filled several rooms with many works i've not seen before. Posted by Hello
Another note. Today, my cousin got a silver mercedes for her 18th birthday. This seriously disgusts me. Her mother probably thinks of it as a great display of her love, when in reality it is more of an attempt to show people how much money you have. And a poor way of teaching your kids the value of hard work. How about putting that money towards college?
And over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

No, it's not bugging me at all.
My coworker likes to play that one Usher song on her stereo. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Tuesday, June 1

I went to pick up medication at the pharmacy today and got lectured by my pharmacist. She asked me how old I was and based on my reply, she told me that I better be married soon...before it's too late. Who does she think she is....my mother??? Even my mom isn't that straight foward. Well, it turns out that my pharmacist got married at 37 (yikes) and is spending $15,000 to do invitro fertilization where she'll only have 30%-34% chance of success. If I'm 37 and childless...I'm opting for adoption.
ATTENTION HILARITY WILL ENSUE:

everybody, you need to go to the "some friends" portion of this blog site and click on Johnney. in his blog you will find THE definitive vietnamese rap video. it is not meant to be funny, which of course makes it even better. please do yourself a favor and go watch it. it may discourage you from going to Canada though. what is wrong with people?
