Hello to the house. I love this recent string of overcast weather. It's fabulous.
Today, I went to a store and a vagrant asked for some money. He seemed really helpless and pretty down-and-out. I told him when I get some change first from the store. I know people usually frown upon giving money to the homeless because it will just help them buy drugs or whatever but I find it easier for me to give them a dollar or something than just ignore them. Anyway, I have my dollar ready but then I see him arrested by two policemen. For all I know it was a very good thing, but I still felt sympathy for the guy. It just seems like some vicious cycle that certain people can't get out of. Man, I'm depressing. Ho hum.
On a lighter topic, the new Green Day album is surprisingly good. Who thought I would like Green Day? And it's not 1994. Very odd. So let's recap: I'm anticipating the deluxe Nirvana box set and I'm liking Green Day again. I think I used Uncle Rico's time machine and accidentally switched it to 1994. (I thought you'd appreciate that Dorkus.)

can you imagine being as rich as these people ... Forbes 400

check out the celeb. one as well ... The Celebrity 100

pretty interesting if you ask me. the celebrity one is less interesting because they are shallow stupid people but the actual rich list is people who worked like a dog ... so that's kind of cool even if they are mean and heartless aka bill gates. ha ha.

Sunday, September 26

i just got debbie gibson's greatest hits. yeah that's right. don't playa hate.

Saturday, September 25

go out there and vote people .... please read
dodgers won ... thank goodness. i'm not going to lie ... darth, skimmy, la sport guy and i were sweating it out until the very end.

i'm back on my chinese movie kick. i watched shaolin soccer and this cheesy but sweet chinese romance called love undercover. however there are three movies i would like to see but when they will be released in the US is a mystery to me:

house of flying daggers: the good - directed by zhang yimou who brought you hero, visually stunning, decent story; the bad - zhang ziyi (crouching tiger, hidden dragon) i really do not like her as an actress, she always have to play the brat and i'm sure she is one in real life as well. ugh she was such a bug in hero. click on the link if you want to see a trailer for the movie.

clean: the good - maggie cheung, this is such a different role for her to play and yet i fully believe she can pull it off. she plays a druggie whose husband has OD and she gets blamed for it, after she gets out of prison she tries to get her son back but only after she gets clean . oh and did i mention she got best actress for her role at Cannes this yr; the bad - well not compleley bad but nick nolte is in this film (???).

2046: the good - directed by wong kar wai one of my favorite directors, tony chiu wai leung my favorite actor and big time cutie, faye wong from chungking express i really like her as an actress but i must admit i have not seen her in too many films, a cameo of maggie cheung; the bad - supposely the story is weak and again zhang ziyi is in this film. blech. another link for more info but it's in french.

Oh wow, I just read the blog about Kerry's wife possibly saying something offensive. I am so totally going to vote for Bush now because we all know he's NEVER EVER said something stupid or offensive.

Puh-leeze.

We are always going to differ in our political opinions and for that reason I'm going to stop talking about this now.
As for the Shawn Green situation...I read an article on Yahoo criticizing him for taking Yom Kippur off. It pissed me off...it was arguing that any highly paid professional athlete should understand the grueling schedule and that it can take priority over family and also religion at times. He said as a Christian if he had to play on Christmas during 2 critical games he would play. How the F*** do you compare Yom Kippur to Christmas? First of all, since Jews don't believe Jesus died for their sins, this is the day for God to atone for their sins from the past year. I mean, even all the "non-practing" Jews at my work go for Yom Kippur because it's such a sacred holiday. Even the gas station across the street that's very popular closes down because no work is supposed to be done. Secondly, you can't criticize him as slacking off because they were saying that he ended a 415 some odd streak because of Yom Kippur 2 years ago. Obviously that how important it is to him. I mean, Darth you may disagree but you can't compare 2 games to a sacred religious holiday. Anyone who criticized Shawn Green for wanting to take 2 days off, is basically saying that sports is bigger than religion? Feel free to disagree, but I think Shawn Green should've taken 2 days off, no question. That doesn't mean I don't want the Dodgers to win this weekend...I really really do, but when it comes down to it, you can't compare sports and religion. I don't think it should even be a topic.

Day 2 and 2 blogs!!! way to go Darth!

So I watched "The Empire Strikes Back" last night....Wow...it looks really cool and sounds great. That was always my favorite one of the series and still is. Read a cool article about how the Empire would kick the federation's ass if star wars battled star trek....psh..as if that was ever in question..haha..okay enough of the nerd talk.

I'm trying not to think of the Dodgers, they are killing independent Darth (if you know where this is from, you are cool). anyway their real problem has nothing to do with hee seop, its more on consistent pitching, which hee seop doesn't do. Their starters are tired and not pulling their weight. In their last 13 starts, Dodger starting pitchers have given up nearly as many runs as they have had innings pitched. That isn't going to win you a lot of games. Praying for one win tonight. What do you think about a player like Shawn Green who by his religion is not supposed to play on Yom Kippur, which this year will take him out of two games. Does he have some sort of loyalty to his teammates? But then he his loyalty to his soul. Its a tough call to make, and either way i'll respect him for it.

What is the all time best game on game night? I say 25 words or less......
well you all inspired me to blog! today feels like a good day. i checked the page and was pleasantly surprised by new blogs and pictures! i am in class learning about the heart. this sux tho i don't have anything to blog about.

i also bought the star wars DVD. i still have to go pick it up at best buy, but i haven't had any time.

don't forget to watch will and grace tonight....JANET JACKSON BABY! And ER premiere woohoo! Yeah i should really study.....test monday. Ok i'm gonna pay attn b/c as whack mike would say: "you're not just studying for a test, you're studying for someone's life"...
What is up with the Dodgers? It's a must win situation tonight, we can't get swept by San Diego and expect to play well IN SF. Darth you know what the problem is right...it's because they're not playing Hee Sop. hahahaha. And now Penny's hurt for the rest of the season!!! WTF. . . I blame De Podesta.

in case you forgot what tony looked like. you make the comparsion :)

my new hottie ... though not a great picture he is hot. of course tony leung is no. 1 always.
Hello! To everyone in the house. : ) I returned from Austin, Tx about two days ago. It was soo hot. And despite all my efforts to reapply sunscreen throughout the day, I was still sunburned. It was that hot. I saw a lot of musicians: Wilco, Killers, Franz, Ryan Adams, Rachel Y., more. Anyway, it was a good experience but I'm pretty much done with festivals. That's it for me (for now).
Things I noticed while in Austin: Everything really is bigger in Texas, people are a lot friendlier and considerate, the park remained clean the ENTIRE weekend...nothing was trashed, etc. like at Coachella. Austin has a pretty hip vibe.
Heard the game night was good times. I'm sad I missed out on the antics.
More later. I'm knackered.
Okay i am going to try to blog everyday for a week straight, if not multiple times to whatever comes in my head, to make it more interesting and hopefully others will blog.

Who got the new star wars dvds? i did!!! drool.....episode 3 footage, the return of darth! what more do you need. i plan on watching empire tonight, as it is the best of the 3 in my opinion.
Work is going pretty fast right now, went to a riveting meeting yesterday where people started yelling at each other...good times.

And yes, chinese people are like ants....RED ANTS!!! hahaha!! man i'm funny...well maybe not. Don't worry i'm equally racist, cause at the angel game the other day i was the one yelling kill whitey, stupid white people! at this annoying couple who were attempting to taunt ichiro on the mariners. the three asians around me seemed to think it was funny...but seriously some white people are retarded....peace out...or as my new friend grimace would say: sunshine and milkshakes!

more to come tomorrow

Tuesday, September 21

but honestly rancid girl ... there are A LOT A LOT A LOT of chinese people. ha ha. and i don't mind being an ant because they work hard before the winter not like the grasshoppers. haven't you seen the movie antz.

i really really really really really really really hate this store. please note the asian tee in red.

spinning: the new green day cd ... sooo good.

Sunday, September 19

So Kerry's wife said that Chinese people are like ants...there's too many of them. I heard this from mom and I totally belive my mom.

Saturday, September 18

i'll blog, i'll blog.

great game night last night new wave. your parents need to go out of town more often. the red head had a lot of fun. still need to teach you how to play bones(that's dominos for those of you who don't know). it's a fun game. anyway i'm ass tired cuz i got home at 430 and got up at 830 went to clinic from 930 til 3. so i'm either gonna take a nap or take my car to get the alarm fixed. prolly the latter. my life is awesome!

oh yeah, and i don't know who the hell to vote for either....anyone want to enlighten us on how we should vote? i'm leaning kerry just cuz i don't like the bush man...but if kerry's gonna make things worse then, what's the point?
"rock(motions to the left)....hard place(motions to the right)....me(sticks his head in the in the middle)"---chandler bing!

Friday, September 17

the "he said, he said" battle roars on and how i'm going to vote come nov. 2 looks more and more clouded.

_Kerry: "George Bush (news - web sites)'s record speaks for itself. 1.6 million lost jobs."

That's private sector employment. Kerry ignores mitigating job gains in the public sector. Overall, 913,000 jobs have been lost under Bush.

_Bush: "I believe that health care decisions should be made by doctors and patients, not by Washington, D.C., bureaucrats."

It will take Washington bureaucrats to put his health care plans in motion and manage federal spending on them. Bush's proposals include letting small companies buy into insurance pools that theoretically offer more affordable coverage. But that plan does not sideline insurance company bureaucrats who will still make decisions about what's covered and selection of physicians.

_Kerry: "President Bush inherited record employment, record homeownership ... and more families with health care."

His implication was that Bush squandered the record of the Bill Clinton (news - web sites) years. But home ownership has hit still more record highs under Bush, thanks to low interest rates. On health care, more people are uninsured than when Bush became president. But Clinton also saw the rate of uninsured rise in his presidency.

good gosh no one blogs. the house is so empty now ... eh oh well. i figure i'll be shuting this site down in a bit ... just no point. heck i'm not even blogging anymore.

nothing really much to say ... but when is there ever. its strange because other people find the oddest things to blog about and yea sometimes it is interesting but other times it is like wtf is the point of all this rambling. i can think of a few e-mails that are like that. some people blog about their emo life and how hard it is to be middle class and so sad all the time. okay now i'm being those people who just ramble.

here are some cool sites to check out and laugh about:

the answer to all your dating questions.

blogging in LA - a pretty funny site ... lots of stuff about life in LA

blogging in OC - haven't actually read but i figured for you OC peeps.

Thursday, September 2

new wave, it's p. diddy. tsk, tsk.
anyhoo, i was also reading other people's blogs because heck i'm good at wasting time. and some people do write about uninteresting things. i guess if iwas really that bored, i'd bother to read it, but i'm usually not to the point where i'd read about someone's trip to the supermarket. *yawn* although, it's quite hilarious if told in seinfeld-esque fashion.

It appears as though its time for my bi-weekly blog. Well actually that was meant for last Friday, but for some reason I guess I forgot to do it. I hate it when you go out to lunch and see a picture of something, get it, and then it doesn't taste nearly as good as the picture looks. Happened to me at Quiznos today, my sandwhich wasn't good, oh well. I watched part of the Republican Convention coverage too. To be honest conventions are really boring nowadays. My grandmother was telling me that years ago, the convention actually meant something, cause people really didn't know who their candidate was going to be, so it really was a neat nominating process. Today we all knew months in advance so its just a week long infomercial to why we should vote for you or your party. The Govenator's speech was interesting I guess, but I just kept laughing cause people in our state elected him, its kinda funny.
So Kobe had his case dismissed last night, somewhat shocking, but somewhat not. I just don't understand how a week ago the victim's father had written the court a letter saying how strong his daughter was and how she would do what was necessary when called to testify, and now this. It just seems like a big set up on her part of leading it as far as it could go without having to go to trial and still getting paid, cause we all know that is just around the corner. In the end the whold thing was just a waste of time and money on everyone. Did anyone learn anything? Did anyone gain anything?
Yeah!: 4 day weekend, Dodgers in first place with a mere 30 games to go, NCAA football started, NFL right around the corner, New Orleans trip booked, room somewhat clean, Mastering Madden 2005, Getting the Office with a windo in a 2 weeks! Bowling league starts soon.
Boo!: Work is starting to come in more rapidly, My workload just increased but no pay difference, softball team debacles, my mom went up north for a week how am i to survive?!?!, messy desk in my office, no new simpsons yet, no sopranos til 2006!, still haven't seen Garden State like everyone else.

Thats all for now.

Wednesday, September 1

so i decided to blog cuz i haven't blogged in a long time. i caught parts of the RNC and well, it wasn't very impressive to me. i also watched the bush girls giggle and make lame scripted jokes. i think it was to get the younger generation to think that W is cool cuz his girls are cool. *shrug* the worst line i think of the whole convention was the governator's claim that "true lies is what they should have called the DNC"...

personally, i don't know what the whole conventions are all about and their purpose. it's just self perpetuation. the only ppl who are gonna watch it are the ppl who are already mad crazy republicans or democrats. and whoever is non-partisan is just gonna look at it as a really really expensive party. is this what they spend millions of campaign dollars on? put that shit in health care or education...then we'll all be able to make a better decision on who our president is gonna be. maybe we would even have better candidates instead of rock and hard place.

i saw billy baldwin on ET or extra or something like that. apparently the baldwins have been strong democrat supporters, but billy has converted to beign republican. the reason is that he has gotten really involved in his faith...and so he's voting for the candidate who is more in tune with his faith and jesus...who he says is GW. thought that was weird...i wish ppl would vote for who they think is the better representative and one who will make good choices instead of focusing on personality, looks, fake written speeches...blah. just not very hopeful for our country lately. it's all going to sh**....
ever notice other blog sites when visiting ours. people write about the most (un)interesting topics going on in and outside their world. so to break the continuous talk about the cure ... i'll blog about the 2004 election.

while flipping through the channels yesterday i came across the bush girls speaking at the RNC. i did not pay much attention to what they spoke about, i was more concerned about how they came across. they giggled through most of their scripted dialogue and sounded as unintelligent as their father, it was difficult to even get through a solid minute of it all. i'm not sure what their presence was suppose to do but i felt very angry so if that was the goal they accomplished it.

personally i don't think kerry is a good candidate (and no i won't go into a 50 hour discussion on why i think that) who will make any changes BUT considering what we currently have ... i would prefer kerry. however, the race has been so close and november is just around the corner which leaves the question of who will be our president a big blank. the pessimist of me thinks we are going to get bush for another 4 years but is the alternative kerry really going to make a difference? i know how i'm going to vote come nov. 2 but i can say i won't 100% feel confident about it.

along the same vein, i’m getting tired of watching celebs/musicians discuss their political views. the most recent occurrence of this was the mtv VMA’s. although i did not watch the program i did catch highlights from the kevin and bean show on kroq and through yahoo news. so just to clarify if puffy wears a shirt that read “vote or die” i for sure better vote because puff daddy told me to??? i just don’t get it.
