(m) A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Theater

An entertaining film spoofing "New Roman Comedy". This is a musical from back in 1966 or some time around then. It's a comedy about a slave who wants to buy his freedom and his master's son says he will set the slave free if the slave can arrange a marriage between the son and the prostitute living next door (who is still a virgin). It's quite comical. I love watching old funny movies like these. I wish there was an occasional movie like this made today. Apparently this movie has won a lot of awards, or the original play did, though it also received a ton of criticism for its sexuality. I recommend the film though.
