Thoughts: I watched this film awhile back and never got around to blogging about it. I enjoyed this movie and not because it was good but because of the subject matter. Back in the 1940s, a Chinese Exclusion Act was repealed after World War II, which allowed many male Chinese immigrants to reunite with their families after years of separation. Ben Loy (Russell Wong) is sent back to China to pick up his bride Mei Oi (Cora Miao). The acting was so-so but I liked the all-Asian cast and seeing a young Eric Tsang in the film was interesting.
