(M) Dandelion (2004, Mark Milgard) Grade: B

Mark Milgard's first feature film is about a boy (Mason) who living in a small town, who is part of a loveless family, and who himself is slowly caring less and less about life. When a new girl (Danny) moves into town, Mason takes interest. All too soon an unexpected event occurs that takes Mason away for a few years. Upon his return he see's his family has deteriorated and the girl he had eyes for has herself been broken by this lonely town. Through Mason he brings love and happiness to those closest to him and those he loves the most but sadly the outside world still brings events out of a single persons control that leads to some tragic events. The cinematography was great.
