(M) Sex: The Annabel Chong Story (1999 Documentary)
Grade: Interesting

USC student Grace Quek was inspired to challenge the American held role for female sexuality apparently after a class at college. Grace takes the name Annabel Chong and decides to set the record for the "World's Biggest Gang Bang". The goal is 300 men in however long it takes. The result is 251 men in 10 hours after getting a vaginal cut that ends the marathon.

This is not a porn film, it's about a woman who entered the porn industry and for a year was the "most famous" porn star. She had various reasons for doing this. I believe she was to get paid something like $10,000 for it but she never received the money which she claims she doesn't even care about because she was doing it as a statement and not for financial gain. I think Grace/Annabel may have been around 22 when she did this and the film ends with her in her 30's. She is an intelligent person but is unable to express her intelligence verbally and comes off as rather childish and immature.

Well... from the documentary you don't get much of a "learned" experience. But in a 20 minute special feature it talked about her relationship with her parents. The film focused on the expectations of a child's honor and the disgrace a child could bring to the family (particularily the parents). The mom was broken apart when she found out and was telling her daughter that she had to re-claim the parents honor but in the end the mother really didn't care what society thought. It showed that the daughter (Grace/Annabel) had under-estimated her parents. Her father was also understanding of it and they both accepted it and loved her.

Other than that I think it was a growing experience. She got her Master's at USC. She had gone back into porn for awhile and started to make her own movies. She was also doing other things by the end of the film (roughly 1999/2000).

She just really loves sex and hates the societal restrictions that are placed on women being able to express enjoyment in sex.

I think my biggest problem with her rational, and the rational I hear from people in the claim, "A man who sleeps with a lot of women is a stud, but a woman who does it is a whore" is the notion of buying into that logic.

I really don't think that the majority of society agrees with that logic. Considering the majority of America is female and I really don't think the majority of females look at guys who sleep around with any and everyone as being "studly". Nor do I think the majority of men trully buy into that arguement.

I won't deny that in some men, including myself, there can be the thought of how great it'd be to be able to sleep with any and every woman you wanted to but acting on it is another thing... not to mention the ability to act on it is constrained by required consent of the other person who would be involved in the sexual act (unless you want to rape to fulfill your desires).

I also think that men who buy into the statement of you are studly by sleeping with any and everyone you can is a man who is completely self-centered and puts himself at the center of all that exists and places everything else as secondary to his wants and desires. Then you have to get into the type of world you want to live in. Should everyone place themselves as the most important thing above all or should people work within' another dynamic... perhaps a give and take, whether that be give and take from an physical environment or a physical life form.

I just think that people that buy into the "men are studly, women are whores" arguement are in a minority and may even be using that statement as a front to fulfill some other selfish desire but masking that desire in a catch-phrase.

bottom line: anyone(male or female) that has sex with 200 some people in 10 hours and only stops because of injury....is not only a whore, but possibly has some kind of personality/mental disorder.

the only statement it makes is, "hey, i had sex with 200 people and my vagina hurts."
