It's been a long time since the Stanley Tookie Williams 1970's murders when innocent people were brutally murdered. Here's a reminder of what happened to the asian victims (click here WARNING - GRAPHIC Images). Who knows... maybe writing a childrens book makes up for that, at least that's what they're telling us.

I think the greater issue here is not what Tookie has done since the murders (i.e. children's book) but whether as a society, we believe in the ideas of redemption and forgiveness.
Is there anything one can really do to demonstrate reform and regret in regard to murder? And can the crime ever be forgiven? Well, considering the clemency denial, I guess not.
wow, nice emphasis on "asian" victims. had they been black victims, i'm sure such a commotion would not exist.
i guess it's good we got rid of him: another black guy we don't have to deal with, right?
and YES, i did play the race card, so what? it's easy to look down from above and judge.
nice play of race card ftc but honestly ... black, white, brown, yellow ... people died. in my opinion if he died now or later the only judgement will come from up above from the Lord. we can say what we want and think what we want but it won't matter in the end. some higher power will make the judgement call.
Hm, I suppose I actually meant "demonstrate reform and regret in regard to past actions" in this specific case since Tookie did not admit to the murders.
