(G) The Dears. (Hollywood & Highland) Grade: B+
To help promote H&H and increase business, the complex will be hosting an event called Third Thursday, in which a free live performance is held in the courtyard along with an art event and/or beer tasting, etc. The first night of the monthly event had Montreal's Dears performing their brand of Brit pop, Moz-inspired numbers. It was especially enjoyable considering the warm summer nights lately and since it was free. Hehe. Overall, a good warm-up for their El Rey gig next week.

(TV) Chaotic. (Britney Spears) Grade: D
Morbid curiousity is to blame but I was hoping to be entertained by Spears' idiocy. The only form of entertainment, however, was her analysis of an art piece, which actually wasn't much of an analysis. Spears acts like a preteen with the camera skills of a five-year-old. (The camera angles are more dizzying than Blair Witch.) I'd like that hour of my life back please.
