Until the release of his next novel A Long Way Down (due May 2005), this collection of essays about reading will satiate any Hornby fan. Hornby quotes Gabriel Zaid to describe himself (and myself): "The truly cultured are capable of owning thousands of unread books without losing their composure or their desire for more." Ah, well said.
