Wow no one else has blogged, oh well. Anyway got back from New Orleans the other day so here is a brief recap:

Day 1: Got in around 6, ate some good southern food, got drunk, two friends yacked..I slipped and fell and broke my collector glass..stupid me..haha...good times...haha..then went to the casino, gambled and won some money.

Day 2: Walked around the French Quarter area, went to "Mothers" for lunch, really good fried food, sooo good! Walked around the riverfront, it was slightly humid but all good. Went on a Ghost Tour that night, our friends hotel was stop #1 on the trip, they didn't think it was that funny. Some high school girls on our tour were impressed with us being from LA and wanted to know if we knew celebs...haha. Afterwards walked down Bourbon street, threw beads to people, drank a little, chilled at a few bars.

Day 3: Went to lunch at a popular place in the French Quarter, then went on a city tour. It was cool but would have been better if we were given a chance to get out of the bus. Anyway the architecture is really cool, and everything is very historical. The city is sinking 2 inches every year!!! Saw the creole side and the american side of the city. Highlights: Anne Rice's house, archie/peyton/eli manning's house, nicolas cage's house, the real world house, D-day museum, city cemeteries, the city park, famous dueling grounds. After the tour we went to the Hornets game. We thought about starting a brawl but decided otherwise. After the game we went to Pat O'Brien's so i could get another collector glass, We drank HEAVILY, i slipped over everything, was basically a walking mess....apologies to all of you who i called! Yeah i don't remember much after that.

Day 4: Woke up with a huge headache for some reason and felt extra crappy. So not fun. Took a taxi to the Broncos/Saints game. At first i was out of it trying to prevent myself from throwing up, but took some advil and got better fast. Broncos kicked ass!!! so i was happy. That night, we went out to a nice steak dinner that sounds really good to me right now.....mmmmm steak. Went back to the casino that night, lost a little but it was okay cause i didn't expect to win.

Day 5: The final day we set up an Airboat tour. Airboats are the kind with the giant fan engine in the back, go about 50 mph and over land and water. It was soooo cool!! Our guide reached in the water and pulled out a gator and let us all hold it. Pretty awesome i thought. Plus the swamp area was really cool too, with all the trees, brush and water it was something i'd do again in a heartbeat. After that we did some quick shopping and jumped on our plane and came home....much fun.

Thoughts: In regards to the basketball fight, i think everyone is to blame, fans, players, and security. Today i learned that the player's union is filing a grievence to reduce the suspensions. Whats annoying is that they say that "White America is not in touch with the Black athlete." I just don't get what that has to do with them jumping in the crowd and throwing punches? can someone help me here? For the most part I don't think anyone of any age/sex/race is really in touch with the life of an athlete. They live in a totally different world that we cannot relate too. Does anyone else have any thoughts about this? Just checking.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
