(G) Tori Amos

I went to the Orange County and Los Angeles Tori Amos shows this weekend and I really enjoyed the Orange County show but was very very impressed with the Los Angeles show. I preferred the set-list in Los Angeles though she played some great songs at the other show as well. Darth, I hope you got to attend one of the shows.

Songs that I enjoyed: Cornflake Girl, Precious Things, Silent All These Years, Waitress, Bells For Her, Tear In Your Hand, Hey Jupiter, Talula, In The Springtime of His Voodoo, Cruel, Cooling, Raspberry Swirl.

I heard she played Space Dog in San Diego.

Hey we were at the LA show!! Fifth row dead center :) It was good but Tori fans are pretty intense (this coming from a Cure fan ... ha ha I know I know). Overall a good show but I would have preferred less new album stuff.

Undented is a good site for setlist and video.

Oh and funny FTC went to her Oakland show so four people here went and saw Tori.

This is the 3rd concert i have seen of Tori, and i think it may have been my least favorite. Something just didn't click with me and this show. She was awesome as always, but I have seen her at her best I think. That said I would have loved to have sen her do Tear in Your Hand, Putting the Damage On, or Winter. I have seen her do those 3 before and I think they are my favorites live. I also miss her doing 1 or 2 covers, just cause I like to see her interpretation.

This was probably my third time seeing Tori as well. I was dead center also... I was in row B, but that is not counting th "pit" area.

I wish she had played Caught A Lite Sneeze, and Siren.

I have always thought something is very weird and off about Darth liking Tori. But I am glad he does.

yep, i did catch her show in Oakland (Dec 8 show, one of three in oakland), which were apparently being filmed for a dvd release. I was rather put off by her limited interaction with the crowd, except for "interludes" when her stylist came out to brush her hair (like three times during the show), these were the only times she spoke and she also sang a "hair-brushing time" jingle. i loved that she played 1000 oceans, hey jupiter, and bliss. oh yeah, she also played winter.
i dont know, i had always heard she was AMAZING live, and she just didnt live up the to hype. by the end, i thought the musical arrangements all sounded the same

The fact that she had a stylist come out to brush her hair makes me laugh.
