Thoughts: After his father’s death, Charlie Price (Joel Edgerton) must figure out a way to keep his family’s shoe shop in business. With the help of Lola (Chiwetel Ejiofor), he does by making shoes for drag queens. Kinky Boots is a fun and lighthearted movie and I would have given it a lower rating BUT I really like Chiwetel as an actor and it is based on a true story so go figure.

Thoughts: Colin Briggs (Clive Owen) is sent to a special type of prison where they encourage the prisoners to redevelop themselves through their jobs. For Colin, it turns out to be gardening and his garden work catches the attention of Georgina Woodhouse (Helen Mirren), a famous garden expert. Much like Kinky Boots, I would have rated the film lower but Clive Owen is so good looking and it is based on a true story.
