I just found out about all this DM stuff today. I have yet to buy any of the re-masters though I am quite curious as to the sound quality of them. Maybe I should go to New Wave's house and compare the cure remasters to the originals and see how it sounds.
a quick tip: i saw a few of the remasters used at amoeba yesterday (mind you, this is the SF location). so u might want to check that out. also, on bestbuy.com, theyre 19.99 (more expenisive in-store) so just print out the online price and take it to the store for a price match (thats what i had to do).
as far as quality, there are subtle difference, but i think they sound better overall. the bonus songs and dvds are cool too.
Thanks for the tip. Maybe I'll buy one of the albums I love and then I'll see how it goes. I'll get Music For The Masses, or Violator, or Some Great Reward. Though, I guess I'd be most interested in the quality of the OLD albums (speak and spell and broken frame, construction time again) cause that's where I'd imagine the BIGGEST difference is.
