I love Cable TV.
Reason #3: On E! Network -
The Soup:

When: Fridays at 10pm, repeated during the weekend.
What: This is a revamped version of Talk Soup that focuses on recaps of various pop culture and reality show moments of the week with host and co-writer Joel McHale providing sarcastic and biting commentary on the various clips. (from Wikipedia.)
Why: So before this was The Soup it was Talk Soup which had it's fair share of host. The hosts included Greg Kinnear (1991-1995), John Henson (1995-1999), Hal Sparks (1999-2000) and Aisha Tyler (2001-2003). E! ended up cancelling the show but in 2004 E! brought it back. I like the dry humor of Joel McHale and I'm always amazed at how many reality tv shows have developed in the past few years.

Reason #4: On VH1 -
Best Week Ever:

When: Fridays at 11pm, repeated during the weekend.
What: Best Week Ever (BWE to fans) is a weekly television program on the United States cable/satellite network VH1. It started airing in 2004. On the show, comedians analyze the past week's developments in pop culture, including recent happenings in entertainment and celebrity gossip.(from Wikipedia.)
Why:I don't think I have to state why.

best week ever is probably the best pop culture show ever. Every week they come up with new and witty jokes that I can then quote the rest of the week. Another reason why VH1 is cool and MTV blows

darth: maybe its cos we are now of VH1 age...scary.
so BWE is off-season now, BUUUUT you can subscribe to the BWE video podcast on iTunes. warning: it's not entirely like the show, the comedians usually aren't that funny but it's a nice fix to hold us over until the real BWE comes back. plus, it's a daily podcast.

I can so see Darth quoting lines from the show. I'll have to check out that podcast.
