Topic: Golden Globes, NIN, The Cure

*Again sorry for the lack of posts. I am not sure what I have been doing with my time. I guess watching TV and just chilling. I think when I use to review movies I was more on this. Oh well.

*Speaking of movies I took a look at the Golden Globe nominees this year. I have not seen A LOT of films but I did get to catch Slumdog Millionaire and really enjoyed it. As for TV, I am happy True Blood got nominated, that show is such good fun.

*Had our office Christmas party at Hotel Roosevelt last Friday. It was a nice venue and they had tons of great food and a band playing. It was a pretty nice event unfortunately I had to leave early to head to Vegas. I had tickets to see NIN at Planet Hollywood for Sat. The NIN show was freaking unreal and Trent Reznor is a fine looking man. I want a NIN tat now :P


*On Sunday, I went to Kroq's Almost Acoustic Christmas show because the main headliner was THE CURE!!! YAY love them. I had to listen to a lot of bands until I got to my boys. Vampire Weekend was okay, they seem a bit young; Snow Patrol was entertaining; Scott Weiland was terrible and half the place left; Franz Ferdinand was entertaining as well, it was my first time seeing them live and they were pretty good; Kayne West was the surprise guest and he was pretty good although I heard rumors later it was suppose to be No Doubt because all the members were there, now that would have been a great surprise act; Paramore was not good; Death Cab for Cutie was dullish; I have to say the Killers surprised me but I expected nothing from them and they were actually pretty entertaining, Brandon Flowers singing was not too bad. The Cure seemed a bit off that night but I guess it was expected after the secret show they played at the Troubadour the night before that I did not go to cause I was in Vegas :( Oh well. On the plus side my buddy snagged me the limited poster they were giving away!
